Three huge milestones have been made more meaningful as, for the first time in 10 years, Morgan has been able to enjoy life without worrying about her skin.
“I’ve had eczema and asthma since childhood. The flare‑ups came and went, usually on my elbows or behind my knees, but never on my face. That changed in 2021 when I was living in a shared house with mould in my room. I didn’t realise how badly it would affect me. I’d wake up with swollen eyes, red patches under my chin and across my neck.
Couldn’t face being seen
“Some mornings I simply couldn’t go into work because I couldn’t face being seen. At the time, I was working in a bakery. I started front‑of‑house, serving customers every day. When my skin was at its worst, being so visible was incredibly hard. I eventually moved into the office, which helped a little, but colleagues still saw how bad things were. I became that person who had a skin problem. I constantly had a red patch on my chin and neck with my eyes painfully dry. I’d been using steroid creams on and off for 10 years, but they’d stopped working. My skin was thin, delicate and reactive. When it was really bad, I avoided going out altogether.
“Everything changed when I went to a homeopath who recommended Skin:Genius. She told me to stop using steroids altogether. That was a worrying time, as I’d become so reliant on them, but I trusted her advice. I’d already spent more than £300 on products that promised results and delivered nothing - I have a whole drawer full of them! I had even tried UV red‑light therapy because I hated putting steroid cream so close to my eyes.
Gentle and soothing
“I started by using Skin:Genius Cream Come True to soothe, soften and help repair my skin. At first, I didn’t see much improvement, but my skin wasn’t getting worse either and it felt gentle and soothing. Julia at Skin:Genius encouraged me to keep going, reminding me that my skin had been dependent on steroids for so long that it needed time to adjust. I stuck with it.
“I started using Skin:Genius on December 17th, 2025. By January 4th, 2026, my skin was clear for the first time in years. I woke up and the redness had gone – except for a tiny patch under my chin.
“Now I use all the products – the Best Cleanse Forever face wash, Cream Come True and Oil Day Long – and they keep everything calm and balanced. My skin is better than it has ever been and I can even wear make‑up now. Before, foundation irritated my skin so badly that I couldn’t use it to cover the redness, which made everything feel even worse. Now, I’m actively enjoying using makeup and skin products again.
Wedding Day Bliss
“When I was planning my wedding, I was anxious that I might wake up on that morning with a skin flare that would mar my day and result in photos that I wasn’t happy with. On my wedding day I felt confident and relaxed and for that I’m incredibly grateful. There was a time where I thought I’d never be able to look back at photos of myself and be genuinely happy with them. Today, I can honestly say that I felt as beautiful as I looked at our wedding.
“I nearly gave up”
“At the start, I didn’t feel the product was working but Julia supported me through the transition and gave me the belief they would work. I can’t thank her enough for supporting me during that time where I nearly gave up.
“Now that I’m settled into my new job, it’s such a relief not to worry about flare‑ups. Before finding a solution to my skin problem, I know the stress of moving house, changing jobs and planning a wedding would have triggered flare ups. Instead, I’ve been able to enjoy all of it.
Renewed confidence
“My confidence has grown massively since my skin has cleared. I avoided going out when my skin was at its worst, which was very isolating. I honestly never thought I would get out of the cycle of using steroid creams but haven’t touched them since purchasing Skin:Genius.
“I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off me and I can get on with normal life again. Before using Skin:Genius, I never knew what my skin would be like when I woke up. Not needing to worry anymore is lifechanging.
“If anyone else is going through something similar, I’d say this: keep going. It feels dark when you’re in it, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Reaching a point where you no longer worry about your skin is worth every bit of effort.”
