Do you change-up your skincare for winter using completely different products or do you use same products year round and use more of one product and less of another?
In the winter we are faced with cold and harsh winds outdoors and indoors, heating and the desire for long hot baths that will dry out the skin, stripping our skin of essential moisture.
- Avoid over exfoliation.
- Use warm water to shower and rinse your skin and a blast of cold water will help increase circulation.
- Using hot water will reduce the protective natural oils needed for our skin which could lead to itchiness and irritations.
- Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! Getting into a routine of applying moisturiser every day, will benefit your skin now and in the future. Keeping your skin hydrated and nourished = happy skin.
- To help from the inside, be sure to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. Feeling cold? Try hot water or herb teas, there’s a wide selection out there.
