Here are some things to consider for beautiful skin, including a delicious and easy breakfast go-to recipe below:

1. Eat the rainbow of vegetables and fruit

Make sure you include yellow and orange vegetables such as carrots, sweet potato and squash which contain beta-carotene which can convert to vitamin A. Lots of cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, kale, brussel sprouts and cauliflower which contain indole-3-carbinol to help support your liver. Berries are fantastic as they are bursting in vitamin C and fibre and gentle to your blood sugar.

2. Limit sugar

This can breakdown your antioxidants and prevent vitamin C from entering your cells.

3. Hydrate

Drink plenty of water, either neat or in herbal teas.

4. Eat some nuts or seeds every day

Sprinkle a heaped tablespoon of ground seeds on your breakfast or salad at lunchtime. These provide essential fatty acids and important minerals such as zinc and magnesium. Choose seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower, chia, flaxseed or sesame.

Quality sleep is important for repair of the skin.
